These Terms of Use apply to SofaPilot – TV Remote, provided by Caspian Technology Group, LLC, and its product and support pages.
App license and purchases
App Store downloads are subject to the license agreement shown with the app. Unless a custom agreement is supplied, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies. These terms describe SofaPilot’s service and acceptable use and do not replace that license agreement or your applicable statutory rights.
SofaPilot is offered as a one-time purchase without a subscription. The App Store displays the price and purchase conditions before you buy. Apple processes payments; Caspian Technology Group, LLC does not receive your payment card details. Purchase and refund requests are handled through Apple’s applicable processes.
Using SofaPilot
Use SofaPilot only with TVs, devices, and networks you own or have permission to control. Do not use it to gain unauthorized access, interfere with others’ devices, bypass security restrictions, or violate applicable law.
Compatibility and network access
SofaPilot requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, Local Network permission, and a compatible television or streaming device on the same local network. First-time pairing may require approval or a code on the TV. A manufacturer’s name alone does not guarantee compatibility.
Available controls, keyboard text entry, app lists, input selection, widgets, Live Activities, and power-on depend on your device, TV model, firmware, active app, and network and standby settings. Wake requests do not guarantee that a TV turns on. SofaPilot does not provide infrared control, voice search, screen mirroring, or media casting. Privacy and pairing
Pairing credentials are stored in the device Keychain, and commands travel directly to your selected TV over the local network. Some TV protocols use unencrypted local connections. Use a network you trust and review the SofaPilot Privacy Policy for details about local data, text entry, diagnostics, and support communications.
Third-party products and services
SofaPilot is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Sony, LG, Samsung, Vizio, TCL, Hisense, NVIDIA, Google, or the other manufacturers whose compatible products it may control. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners. Their devices, software, and services remain subject to their own terms.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep SofaPilot useful, but do not promise uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every model, firmware update, network, or third-party service. The app and its support pages are provided as available, subject to the warranties, limitations, and remedies in the applicable license agreement and law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
